What I Did After Maria Got Stuck At Work:
Maria and I were supposed to go to the gym this evening, but at the last minute she called and cancelled b/c she was stuck at work. Normally I would use this as an excuse to continue sitting on the couch, but with a little encouragement from Rand, I got up and sit some step aerobics in the living room. I really gave myself a good workout. My heart rate was way up and I was sweating!
Total for the Day: 1704 calories, 5 glasses of water, 30 minutes of step

Well, you definitely don't look like Carol Burnett in her Gone with the Wind skit... ;)
Seriously, you look cute! I particularly like your brooch.
I see what he's talking about, but I bet that necklace was perfect when you took the cardigan off.
As always, love your colors!
You look fabulous in purple!!
Yep Rand is a keeper! LOL!
Lovely violet outfit today!
I like Rand! Good personality :-)
Love, love, love the shoes. Happy Friday!
That's a really cool necklace! I can find no flaws in that much purple :D
I love step- it's a serious workout (physically and mentally- it can get really confusing!). Just don't trip off the bench- I did the other day but luckily did no lasting damage to my ankle.
If I pull your necklace, can I have it?
Great find!
Can I just say that I love Rand's assessments? Maybe he should have his own fashion blog LOL. XOXO, MissAmy
MissAmy makes a great point - could Rand do some guest blogs?
And are you sure he said 'will your sweater close'? For Beloved Husband, the question would definitely have been about garments opening, not closing :)
I need to try the garlic shrimp pasta recipe - looks great. (Roasted broccoli is on our menu again this week, thanks to you!).
I love you in purple! Not a huge fan of the skirt's pattern...a little too small and fussy for my taste. I love that necklace!
Good for you for getting off the couch! (says the woman who's done nothing all day, haha)
Kari - HAHAHA. I always loved that skit.
Brooke - Thanks!
Beth - thanks! I have added some to my wardrobe this season, otherwise there hasn't been too much purple.
Sher - thanks! I think he is a keeper too.
Honeybunches - yeah, he's a good match for me. Thanks! I need to take them to the shoe doctor to be reheeled. :(
Jess - yikes! I am glad you didn't have any serious injuries. I was pretty sore the next day.
Kasmira - thanks! I'll keep you in mind if I find that I'm not really wearing it anymore.
MissAmy and Struggler - since you guys proposed it, I asked him, but he steadfastly refuses to do a guest post. And know that he knows that I've posted his comments, I bet I won't get as many. LOL
Struggler - oh yes, try out the pasta. The link should be in the post. It is SO GOOD. And if you are a fan of spicey (I'm a wimp) add a little more red pepper flakes. Delish.
Sheila - I don't wear this skirt too ften, b/c it can be toget a look where the whole thing isn't fussy, but every once in a while it comes out of the closet.
i think the color combination in this outfit is extremely gorgeous. and those are all the big words i have for today. i'm all out of steam already. wah!
I am wearing that same necklace, almost exactly. I got it in Austin last weekend, at Goodwill.
*cue freaky music*
Clearly I love it.
