Monday Mayhem

After work today, I ran up to David's Bridal to buy a petticoat to go under my wedding dress. For some reason no one bothered to suggest that I needed one when I bought my dress, even though I tried my dress on with one. And I was in such a "I found THE dress" daze at the time that I didn't even think about it. So back to DB I went. Man, I hate stepping into that place. First, it's a madhouse. Always. Second, no matter who I go in there with, they always assume that she is the bride and I am the tagalong friend. That's kind of insulting.

What I Wore While Buying a Petticoat:

2010-03-01 combo

  • black slacks (Lane Bryant)
  • black/white long sleeve blouse (Newport News)
  • black cardi (Target)
  • orange-ish wrap (Ross?)
  • brooch (Salvation Army)
  • black boots (Clousewalkers via Avenue)
  • earrings (via swap)
What I Ate After My Double Date Was Cancelled:

2010-03-01 food

  • breakfast: cheesy eggs, alternative bagel, tangelo
  • lunch: sugar snap peas, cheese stick, buddig sandwich, apple, pretzels
  • snack: grapes, yogurt, SoyJoy
  • dinner: 3 slices pepperoni stuffed crust pizza
Total for the Day: 7 glasses water, no exercise, 44.5 points eaten

Hello from a lurker!

1. Mmm, that pizza looks yummy.

2. Love the draped scarf and brooch on your outfit, very classy.

3. Bridal shop assistants can be so snobby some times. Boo them. Hope you got what you needed. Can't wait to see pictures of the big day.

Cheerio.

I'm surprised at David's Bridal...when I bought my daughter's dress they were very pushy about buying the petticoat, a new bra and all kinds of other extras. Luckily I had scoped out a bra on clearance that was perfect at the mall before I met her at David's, so I saved about a hundred there. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

I love the way you are wearing your scarf/wrap!! It looks so classy!

Maybe you looked so fantastic that the people at David's Bridal thought you were the wedding planner? Or the are just rude - which ever!
