Decorated Like An Easter Egg

What I Wore While Looking Like an Easter Egg:

I've mentioned before that I am not scared of looking like an Easter egg, and today really proves my point. I said something about that to a couple of my female coworkers who protested that I did not look at all like an Easter egg, but not 1/2 hour later a male coworker asked if I was getting ready to leave for an Easter egg hunt. So my point remains... :) I tried to tone it down a little with the black cardi, but once Spring really comes full force, I won't worry about toning it down at all. I've got bright plans for tomorrow too. (Yes, Maria, it's the fuschia pencil skirt!!)

I made this necklace today too. It's a combo of a necklace, some leather, and a brooch.
  • lavender tweed skirt (Lane Bryant)
  • magenta stripe shortsleeve blouse (Merona/Target)
  • black cardigan (Merona/Target)
  • teal suede peep-toe pumps (Style&Co.)
  • white graffiti belt (via Kohl's)
  • purple/silver earrings (?)
  • silvertone/turquoise bead stretch bracelet (thrifted, Goodwill)
  • white multi-strand necklace (H&M), extended with leather (by me)
  • silver tone & grey crystal bow brooch (via Ross)
What I Ate While Looking Like an Easter Egg:

Okay, so this clearly wasn't what I was supposed to eat today. It was another attack of FreeFood-itis. But I worked it into my calories for the day.

Dinner was a spinach salad with feta, turkey bacon, and sliced almonds. And a slice of seeduction. Yummy.

What I Did to Get Sweaty While No One Was Looking:

Since Rand is in Houston, there is no one here to silently (or loudly) judge me for looking like and idiot flailing around the living room. I decided to take this opportunity to dance around to some great music. I decided to watch/follow Amy for my warm up and then to dance on my own. um...I wasn't inspired to do anything on my own for some reason (when usually I dance in my closet getting ready, so it should have been easy.) So I searced YouTube for "dance aerobics" and came upon some weird videos. I didn't have time to be picky. And I still got sweaty.

Total for the Day: 1824 calories, 6 glasses of water, 20 minutes of dance aerobics

hahaha, my hubby was out on Saturday morning so I did the dance like no one is looking workout too :-)

I like the easter look. I don't think it's too wild at all. I esp like the necklace you jazzed up.

You look great! I'm not a big fan of the belt pattern, but otherwise it's fabulous :)

Thanks, Everyone!

And Londyn, thanks for your honest opinion. That's always good to hear. I'm not surprised that it's not your style. You're very classy!

oh my gosh, I love the idea of adding the leather to the necklace, I might have to steal your idea :)

Honeybunches - please do steal it! And then post it so I can see how it came out!

I found your blog via fennelgrl (whatiwore2day)--I thought that I was the only person who knew that Paul Eugene existed, ha! He's goofy and cheesy in an innocent that makes ya wanna move to the groove way :)!

Say - I love that extend your own necklaces! Any chance you could share with us just how you do it?

laniza - yes, he is totally cheesy and I found him by accident, but I agree that he makes me move - cheesy or not!

Stacy - thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely do that soon!
