Forgotten Lunchbox

I'm on my own right now, which means I get to watch whatever I want on TV. Not that Rand ever really makes me not watch what I want (he's very sweet); it's just that he really doesn't watch a lot of TV, so I feel guilty when I want to just curl up on the couch and veg, veg, veg. So tonight, I streamed a Netflix HD movie through our Xbox (who knew?!) and just lounged there for 2 hours. I didn't even work out. It was great. I'd still rather have him here with me. I miss him.

Kimberly also has this skirt, and I must say that when I went to her blog to pull out links for my post, I had forgotten that she wore it this way too. I'm gonna have to try that soon. It's so fresh and so office appropriate. You can check it out on her blog, or you can click & embig'n my outerwear shot to get a better idea about the real colors in the skirt. The colors are a little washed out in my composite pic today.

What I Wore While Veggin' On the Couch:

2010-01-06 combo

  • floral skirt (via Kmart)
  • vlack V-neck T (Target)
  • black tights (Target)
  • black boots (via Avenue)
  • red necklace (Target via Goodwill)
  • red patent belt (Target)
  • red jacket (Lane Bryant)
  • black pashmina (via Ross)

What I Ate After Leaving My Bag at Home:

2010-01-06 food

  • breakfast: Fiber One Caramel Delight, 2% milk
  • lunch: bagel, cream cheese, 3 cuties
  • dinner: tomato & avocado sandwich (Which Wich), gala apple

When I got to work, I realized that I left my bag with all my food at home. And I eat my breakfast, lunch, and snack at the office, so this is a big deal. It makes eating healthy much more difficult, and means a serious lack of fruit and veggies during the day.

Ooh, I love how you opted to pick up the red in that skirt, of all colors to choose from. It's such an unusual combination!

Oooh, I love what you've done with the skirt. I am going to have to remember to do the black with a pop of red. :-)

That is an awesome skirt! I like how you brought out the little bits of red.

When my husband is away I like to watch trashy television shows he never wants to watch. Woo-hoo Rock of Love!

Rachel - thanks!

Kari - thanks!

Brooke - I know! I can't believe I forgot to wear it this past summer. What was I thinking?

Kasmira - I would be happy to loan them to you in an instant if only we lived anywhere near each other. :)

Em - thanks!

Kimberley - I look forward to seeing the next time you wear this skirt.

Erin - thanks! There is a Which Wich near my office and it calls my name sometimes. Usually it's a little pricey for me, but this day it was a 99 cents!!

Jess - exactly! Whatever bad TV you want without comments from the peanut gallery. :)

Nishant - thanks! everyone seems surprised that I chose the red to highlight, but honestly it was the first color that I thought of.

Keri - Hi! Welcome to the blog. Thanks for your kind words. I'm heading over to check yours out right now!
