My Poor Car

Today did not start off very well. I stepped out of the house to head to work, nice and early. The first thing I saw from the porch was that one of my car windows had been smashed in. Luckily nothing was taken, but I had to spend my morning filing a police report and getting my car fixed. So I was 3 hours later for work than I would have liked, plus I was out the money for a new window. Such is life, I guess.

What I Wore While Talking To the Police:

2010-02-24 combo

  • dress (it's really old, so I don't remember, but I think I got it at Ross)
  • sweater (J. Crew via Goodwill)
  • red suede pumps (Jessica Simpson via Goodwill)
  • brooch & necklace (via Goodwill)
  • earrings (via Macy's)
What I Ate While Waiting For Car Repairs:

2010-02-24 food

  • breakfast: sandwich thin with fat free cheese and egg, tangelo
  • lunch: leftover veggies and rice with 1 oz chicken, celery, apple, cheese stick
  • snack: hot tea, yogurt, SoyJoy, orange
  • dinner: WW Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie
  • dessert: mini microwave cake (5 pts, not pictured)
What I Did Before I Knew The Car Was Smashed:

Yeah. Welcome to the neighborhood, car window smashing is some sort of youth hobby around here I think.

At least you looked hot.

That is a really unfortunate story. At least you looked great dealing with the cops and can keep a good sense of humor about it.

Oh man, that sucks!! The fact that you were able to thrift those awesome red pumps should make up for it though! :-)

Sorry to hear about the car.
But you look great in that outfit.
Do you try a new eye make-up? It looks great.

im late in saying this, since others have already commented, but those shoes are HAWT! an amazing purchase regardless, but thrifting them? insanity!

Sabrina - thanks!

Erin - Yeah, when I was talking to our neighbors they said that the street you live on is particularly bad, which sucks b/c we were thinking about buying a house on that street.

Kathryn -yeah, no need to make a big fuss about it. I can't change it. :)

Kimberly - I think these are my best shoe thrifting find ever. I like them even better than the two pairs of Manolo Blahniks that I got one day.

LaShaune - thanks! THere was nothing worth taking. I wish they had seen that before they smashed the window.

nurmisur - Thanks! I did do my makeup a little differently. I used eyeliner on my bottom eyelid, which I don't usually do. I can't believe that you noticed that.

EvaNadine - thanks! I felt hawt. ha!

Aw, Tina, that sucks. I've been there. But at least there was no angry yelling old man involved!

And I love all the red and gold and that awesome necklace!!

that stinks!! I have had that happen to me before (twice). I felt violated! I do like your taste in late night tv talk shows. Jon Stewart is yummy!

Kasmira - Thanks! I think you must really like it, b/c I'm pretty sure you made the same offer last time I wore it. I'll send you an email...

Brooke - very true! No scary men threatening me is always good!

The Other Tina - John Stewart is so funny and smart. A wicked combination!

Honeybunches - thanks! It's all better now.

BBM - Thanks! Me too. And even though they are sky-high, they're not miserable to walk in.
