Snowpocalyps

Rand woke me up this morning to tell me that there was snow on the ground. Yay! And then it snowed all day long. It's so pretty.

  • pink sweater (Old Navy)
  • brown tights (Target)
  • brown boots (Cloudwalkers via Avenue)
  • brown belt (?)
  • pink/animal print scarf (Goodwill)
  • necklace and earrings (Target)
  • headband (Target)
What I Ate Because It Seemed Cozy:

2010-02-11 food

  • breakfast: barley & oats w/ fat free half & half and apples
  • lunch: pastrami sandwich, carrots, apple
  • snack: yogurt
  • dinner: beef pho
What I Did While Discussing the Snow With Rand:

2010-02-11 exercise

30 minutes on the treadmill. I know it looks like I am standing still on the treadmill while I am doing my weighted punches, but really I am walking at the same time. My current routine is to walk, and then every 5 minutes I do a set of punches and lifts and then run for one minute. I can't handle running much more than that right now. But I will some day!

Total for the Day: 30 points eaten, 2 activity points earned, 2 glasses water, 30 minutes exercise

And just for fun, here is the view from my office window. I love all the snow falling in front of the historic high rise buildings.

Don't forget to sign up for the purse giveaway.

I really like this color combination on you. It's got such a soft and pretty feel to it.

Love that outfit. Too sweet. And you got snow too, ha ha. I'm surprised everything wasn't shut down. And again, 10,000 steps at 5'2", come on!? Miss you. :)

That Queen necklace is sooo nice. If ever you want to give it away.. think of me! .. and were the cloudwalkers warm in the snow? I need a cute pair of snow boots. The ones I have are functional.. and thats it..no style at all.

The snow in Texas has been amazing - my kids go to UNT and loved it!

You are doing great with your running - a minute at a time is how I started, too.

I love this look on you! Fantastic!

You look fab as always. My favorite outfits on you seem to be the purples and reds, but I think Carmel colors look really great too. A suggestion on something that I'd like to see is earth tones like carmel with Metallic Gold accents...So classy looking. http://Madam0wl.blogspot.com/ wore carmel with bold gold accents and I just thought it was great. Also if you get a chance check out my NEW ETSY shop. Things like Vintage black label Frye boots are listed. Everyday I read your blog I am thinking I should be dressing better and working out as much as you. Thanks

The snow looks pretty, and you look gorgeous in it with your pretty curls and soft color scheme. You are daring to wear a skirt in snow!

You've got more snow in Texas than we do up here in New England - no fair!

I absolutely love this outfit. You look so pretty and glowing and curvy, and I love the gold accessories with the pink and brown. Beautiful!

Kim - thanks!

Shawnee - Everything was closed the next day, even though the roads were fine. And you can get in 10K steps. I know you can! Take Flip for a super long walk.

Totally Inspired - The boots are just regular fake leather boots, so they don't provide any extra warmth or protection from the snow. But I had on socks, then tights, and then socks again, so my feet were quite warm.

Lesa - thanks!

Honeybunches - But I hate running!!!! :P

Wicked Thrifty - thanks! I must admit that I really like pink and brown together.

Shelley - thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep doing it a little to get my heart rate up, but I'm never going to be a runner. I even hated it when I was young and an athlete.

Dana - thanks!

Thriftymomma - thanks! I'll check out both her blog and your Etsy shop. I love Etsy!

evandine - oh indeed I do heart pho. yummy goodness.

Sheila - Yeah we got 12 inches of snow, if you can believe that. Insanity.

Kari - you know, I actually prefer to wear skirts in snow and rain b/c then I don't have to worry about my pants legs getting soggy.

Brooke - thanks! And that really is bonkers that we have more snow than you do. What is happening??
