Twisted Root Burgers are Yum

Sorry, no food pics today. I ate breakfast (which I dutifully took a photo of), then went out to lunch with coworkers (and forgot to take a pic) and then I didn't even eat the dinner that I cooked b/c I was too sick to care. I just went to bed instead. I'm pretty sure I got enough calories from the cheeseburger at lunch to carry me through the whole day though. ha!

What I Wore While Eating a Grass-fed Beef Cheeseburger:

2010-03-09 combo

  • black slacks (Lane Bryant)
  • lavendar lace tank (Ann Taylor)
  • striped blouse (Express)
  • flats (Franco Sarto)
  • brooch (via Thrift Town)
  • pearl headband (via Target)

Total for the Day: no clue on the points, but should be under my max; no exercise; 5 linen hankies

I am odd man out, but I think Twisted Root burgers are so gross. I hate the texture of them. :D

You look great, even if you don't feel great. That jacket is so flattering on you! And such a great colour.

I hope you get better soon, hon.

EvaNadine -thanks! I did not feel hot at all, so it's good to know that it didn't show.

miss_e - thanks! They are ancient. I got them when flats first came back into fashion and I almost got rid of them b/c they were so painful - worse than major high heels. But eventually they softened up and now I love them too.

Erin - This was the first time that I had eaten at Twisted Root. I didn't find them to be any better tasting than other burgers, but I like that they use pastured beef instead of feed lot beef, so I'll continue to eat there rather than other places.

Sarah - thanks! It's been almonst a week and I am fianlly feeling better.

Sheila - thanks! I think I am on the road to recovery.

Brooke - thanks!
