As a lawyer, I'm required to complete a certain number of hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) each year. The deadline is always on your birthday, and mine is coming up in less than 5 days. For the first time since I became a lawyer, I found myself with a shortfall rather than a surplus of hours. I like to save my money for things like shoes and kitchens and closets, so I searched in the internet until I found some free online classes. I've been listening to classes about intellectual property law all day long while I work. Amazingly, some of it is pretty interesting, especially a discussion about the lawsuit between Google and Viacom about You Tube and copyright infringement. Hey, I use You Tube! But none of my stuff infringes. :)
What I Wore While Listening To CLEs:
- black slacks (Lane Bryant)
- pink lace cami (Old Navy)
- floral cardi (Target)
- fushia flats (Target)
- red glass necklace (??)
- red glass earrings (street vendor in Austin)
What I Ate That Was Tough:

- breakfast: healthy pear muffins, coffee, apple
- lunch: pub salad
- dinner: beef tips, potatos, mixed veggies, butternut squash
I've been loving the Diet Gourmet, but tonight's dinner was really really tough out of the microwave. I almost couldn't swallow the beef b/c no matter how much I chewed it never got any smaller!
