Obsessive Fashion?

I think this blog has created a monster. When I went to work this morning it was raining. I keep an umbrella in my purse right now b/c it's been raining so much, so it's no big deal (other than the massively frizzy hair. Boo-ya! Big hair in Big D. It's all good, right?). But as I was driving, I was thinking to myself "you know, I have another umbrella that is super cute. AND the colors in it totally match my outfit. I should totally go get that umbrella for my blog pcitures today." uh. That's a bit crazy, don't you think? Thankfully it had stopped raining by the time I got home, so I didn't have to figure out just how dorky/obsessive I really am. Whew! I hate being introspective.

What I Wore While Being Marginally OCD:

Once again I have fuzzy pics. I am sorry. Rand really has a hard time getting clear ones with my Blackberry,
and all my dental work made finances too tight to replace my broken camera immediately.
But I promise, I'll get a new camera some time this month.
  • maroon short sleeve blouse (Old Navy)
  • black pencil skirt (George/Walmart, thrifted new from Goodwill) *
  • red croc heels (I forgot to look, they're ancient)
  • red/black/maroon/oatmeal scarf (thrifted, Goodwill)
  • gold flower brooch (borrowed from Maria) **
  • indian style eaarings (stolen from a friend and never returned. Oops)
  • goldtone necklace (via Macy's)
  • goldtone & colored glass slide bracelet (antique store in Austin)
* Yes this is the same skirt I wore yesterday. The oatmeal A-line skirt I was going to wear is too big. I really need to put a bunch of stuff up on eBay or Freecycle or something.

** This is my 5th brooch in my Stolen From Maria Before She Makes Pursehooks series.

What I Am Eating This Week For Breakfast and Lunch:

  • 6 oz. greek yogurt
  • 1/2 c. hemp granola
  • blackberries & strawberries

  • medium carrot
  • celery stalk
  • 4 Wasa Fiber crisp crackers
  • 12 cubes of Light Laughing Cow cheese (I wanted the wedges so I didn't have so much packaging, but Rand did the grocery shopping and could only find the cubes)
  • 1 small fuji apple
  • 2 cups Progresso Light soup (not pictured)

Dinner was a splurge meal out for pasta with some old cycling buddies.

What I Did for Exercise that was Dumb:

I've mentioned "Wiixercise" before, and I figure it's better than nothing, but I knew it wasn't really getting me anywhere very fast. So I still my Wii Fit on top of my step and did my Wiixercise that way to make it actual exercise. Yeah. It was actually really high. And kinda made my knee hurt. I don't think I'll be doing that again.

Total for the Day: splurge meal, 20 minutes of step

I totally think things like that and rearrange outfits for better blogging sometimes!

And no one cares if you wear a basic two days in a row, please girl, my black denim leggings? I think I've worn them THREE days in a row before. You look great!~ And your food is super yummy looking.

I love your earrings and scarf belt! Clearly, you need to acquire some brooches of your own because they have all looked great on you this past week!

Love the earrings and the colours in your outfit today, as for your hair, boy do I wish I had a bit of bounce in mine!

I completely know what you mean! I lay in bed thinking about the next days outfit. Can't go to sleep till I come up with something LOL!

Erin/Sher - I am glad I am not the only one that does stuff for the sake of the blog.

Charlotte - I have way more than bounce. I have massive amounts of frizzy flyaway hair that sticks out everywhere at most times. But thanks!

Jess - Thanks! I really have been trying to get Maria to sell me some of hers, but I do have a prety good collection myself. I probably own about 12 brooches. The grey pearl one from Monday is actually mine.

Love this outfit! Very good colors on you and those earrings are fanastic, I am really loving them.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself doing steps with your Wii like that. (Um, we are from the same gene pool though and I totally would have tried it too!! Ha!)

Stacy - yes we are BOTH retarded, but we already knew that, didn't we?
