X-Men & Hula Hoops

I didn't have work today, so it was casual clothes for me. Rand and I went to see Wolverine. It was pretty good.

What I Wore While Seeing Wolverine:

  • curvy jeans (Gap)
  • yellow v-neck T (Target)
  • brown cardi (Daisy Fuentes)
  • green/yellow/tan scarf/belt (Newport News)
  • green/blue tweed flats (Old Navy)
  • goldtone hoops (Walmart)
  • silver/gold "elephant hair" bracelet (I bought this at a Safari Club convention ma yers ago)

What I Did for Exercise With Erin:

Erin and I finally got to meet and finally made it to hula hooping tonight. It was a ton of fun. She's much better at it than I am, but I did finally manage to get the nack of it. We spent about an hour spinning (and for me, dropping) hula hoops around our middles (and for Erin, necks). And yes, Erin is quite fun. I highly recommend meeting her if you get the chance!

We took some pics on Erin's camera, so I'll post a couple tommorow. Then you can enjoy her looking like a pro and me looking like an idiot. Fun for the whole family.

What I Ate After Hula Hooping:

  • stir fry with chicken, carrots, red bell peppers, celery, and shitake mushrooms

I wasn't very hungry after hula hooping, so I only had about 1 cup of stir fry. Now I'm actually hungry. Typical.

I would just like to say that Tina is not bad at hooping at ALL, I just got a head start on the learning curve!~ Tina = Awesome and you should hang with her if you ever get the chance.

Also, sadly after hooping I had a Whole Foods sosa, a cheese snack stick and a handful of almonds. I am in awe that you managed real food.

I love how you tied your bow and I am truly enjoying lurking on your blog. I applaud you for stepping out of your comfort zone and trying a new exercise. I am planning on stepping out and trying Zumba. Keep up the good work.

Erin - Rand made me cook and eat. Otherwise it would have been a SoyJoy (your fave, I know!) and straight into the shower.

TxNYQueen - Welcome! I'm glad you de-lurked to say hello. I love Zumba! Although it kicks my butt in a major way and I look ridiculous. I don't shimmy or shake or any of that with any sort of grace. But I love the music.

Lmac - Rand and I are the opposite; he hates action movies, so I had to drag him to go see it. Well, he went willingly, but just for me.

Sher - Thanks! They are super old, were very cheap, and are very comfortable. And probably smelly too. yay! Smelly shoes! LOL
