Meh Monday

Today was not good. I don't really have the energy to post a long blog, so let's look at some pictures of my mediocre outfit, shall we?

What I Wore That Was Meh:

  • polka dot blouse (Target)
  • aqua tank (Lane Bryant)
  • black slacks (Lane Bryant)
  • black leather flats (Simply Vera by Vera Wang)
  • aqua belt (Nine West)
  • red bead necklace, extended by me (?)
  • black bead bangle (?)
  • aqua/red earrings (street vendor in Austin)

What I Ate That Was Not Worth It:

I was not in a good mood when I got home and I just wasn't up to cooking. And I let that be an excuse to order in food. I got a calzone. It wasn't even what I wanted and I didn't enjoy it. Meh.

Aw, honey, don't be down on yourself. You look great - maybe a coloured shoe would have perked it up more - it's certainly not a bad outfit. But I have those "meh" days too.

And regarding the food, that's when you demand that hubby chop vegetables and you just whip up a stir-fry! It's faster than ordering in...and then reward yourself with a glass of wine. You'll feel better. Anyway, don't beat yourself up.

Tomorrow is another day, m'dear. It will pass.

You really don't look "meh" to me. Maybe a bit less colorful than what you've been wearing, but the polka dot blouse really looks great and keeps it fresh.

Hope that tomorrow is an improvement!

Sorry your day was crap -- you look hot. Love the outfit with bursts of color, and LOVE the hair. Not sure if I am going to be able to get this long...I'm ready to chop away.

If that's how you look when feelin' crap you have nothing to worry about.
As for the outfit I think it's really nice, and you have lovely hair whatever you do with it,.

sorry if your day was not as good as you had hoped! today will be better! i think we all go through these odd series of WTF? days or weeks but then things turn around again! my life genuinely used to suck balls a few years ago, primarily due to very poor decisions i made. but since making those changes, i've been relatively happy, and these days it throws me completely for a loop when things go MEH. i'm like, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THINGS ARE MEH? I'M HAPPY DAMNIT!!! > : O

sorry for my babbling!! hope today is absolutely faboo for you!

I think you look really cute. I love the blue and red pops, and I think your hair is ADORABLE like that.

Lets get together and have a beer and a Pity Party for ourselves SOON.

Sorry you had a meh day - that is no way to start a week. The week has nowhere to go but up now, right? Right!

I love that blouse!

I hope tomorrow is better. I think you looked pretty cute though :)

Sheila - thanks for the kind words. I'm trying to focus on each day as it's own rather than "throwing away" a full week or something based on one bad decision to eat calzone.

Kari - thanks! I love this blouse, but was not happy with the way my accessories chopped it up.

Beth - I have the opposite problem. I never cut my hair. I've starting scheduling my next appointment when I'm in the salon, otherwise I'll realize it's been 6 months since I got it cut.

Charlotte - thank you! I feel like my hair is a constant struggle against frizziness and stringiness. Oh and laziness. Okay, mostly laziness.

eednic - thanks!

Erin - thanks. I am totaly down for beer soon!

Goober - thanks. I was hoping for improvement, but instead I get to be unemplouyed for the rest of the week (ah contract life). But I'm trying to focus on the good points, like time for scrapbooking rather than the downside.

Jess - thanks! And I agree. Boo to the bad days!! BOOO! :)
