Purple Week Day #1

As I was selecting outfits on Sunday, I noticed that my first 3 had purple in them. Well, far be it from me to ignore that, so I swapped out my fourth outfit to something with purple. I don't usually plan my casual Friday outfits in advance, so I only pick out four outfits each Sunday. But I know I've got a couple of choices to stick with the purple theme come Friday. And I told some coworkers that it's purple week and I think they are going to throw on some purple tomorrow too. Yay! I love a good community play-along event.

I had to run home in the morning to meet the plumber. I hate leaving work in the middle of the day, bu it meant I got some pics in the natural light. Always a plus.

What I Wore While the Plumber Fixed 2 Leaky Faucets:

Hi, I'm a (relatively) new reader. I love all your thrift store finds... How often do you go thrifting?

I absolutely love this outfit - the pattern of the jacket and tights go beautifully together with the solid pieces, and I love your thrifted necklace!

This outfit is so chic on you, and especially so in the picture with your scarf draped and holding your handbag. Fabulous!

Oooh-great outfit! Are those tights from LB a recent purchase? If so, I might need to invest...

I too have been wearing a lot of purple lately. I can't wait to see the rest of the purple treats you will unveil this week.

Tina, RE: your dancing comment, I'm actually pretty uncoordinated myself. You might just give Irish Dance a try if you've always wanted to do it - I haven't done it myself, but it's somewhat similar to Scottish Country Dance and tends to also have a friendly, close-knit crowd.

Very classy! And yet still fun!

Shuttsie - Welcome to the blog! I would say I go thrifting about every 10 days or so. Some weeks I go twice, and sometimes I don't go at all for a few weeks. There is a Goodwill very close to my house, and I often pop in there for 15 minutes on my way home from work. A lot of times I leave empty handed, but over time I find good things.

Kari - thanks!

Fiona - thanks! I felt very posh with my scarf on. :)

Julia - I got them at the Lane Bryant outlet store in Houston in October. I don't know if they have them in the regular LB stores. I know they don't have them online.

Dr. Da - thanks! I'm going to check out your blog right now.

Em - thanks!
