Jersey Girl

Rand and I both left work early on Friday, so we made plans to meet for a movie. But we're difficult for movies (ahem, he's difficult. I'll pretty much see any piece of crap out there. That's a result of going to film school, I think) Anyhoo, I met Rand at the train station where he promptly told me he had left his car keys at the office. So instead of doing anything fun with our free time, we drove in Friday rush hour traffic back to his office to get his keys. And while we were there, I went in to his is new office building and workspace. I asked him if he wanted me to take my jacket off, since it was a little flashy and I would be meeting his boss and coworkers for the first time. His initial reply was that I didn't have to (b/c he's such a wonderful supportive man.) but when I reassured him that I didn't mind (afterall, it was my suggestion), then he said...

Rand's Daily Outfit Assessment: "You look a little New Jersey." ha! Ever since he said that, I've been trying to find a picture of Snooki in a sequin jacket to post. No such luck. Total bummer.

At least I know that Erin would have approved, esp since I got this jacket at the Salvation Army. About 6 months ago, she and I went to that same Salvation Army and SHE bought a sequin jacket. Ah symmetry.

Yay for sequin jackets! I just bought one, too. Not thrifted, but 70% off.

I like your hair pouf. I can't pull that off. Forehead too wrinkly. Gah!

I absolutely love this outfit! I like the casual vibe, as most of the outfits I've seen you post are a bit more professional. Those jeans fit you like a dream!

Heather - thanks! Sadly, it was only taken to work, not out for a night on the town. I'm lame.

Kasmira - thanks! I used to wear my hair this way a lot but I had kinda forgotten about it until Erin did her repost of her hair pouf tutorial.

Courney - thanks! I don't post too many of my causal outfits b/c I had to dress business casual at work. Occassionaly I do a weekend post. Lots of flip flops then.

Erin - did you notice it was a hair homage post? I did a bump, a la Erin.

Gerry - thanks! Trust me, I have lots of fruitless visits to the thrfit store too. I just don't let it keep me from keeping up the search.
