CopyCat: Kimberly

I decided that since Kimberly was so awesome and generous to lend me one of her favorite necklaces, that I needed to do a little homage to both her and the necklace. So I decided to copycat her look from the last time she wore the necklace. Check out her original look (aren't her shoes to die for?? This girl has serious style.) I am so glad that I copied this look. I felt so polished and professional all day long. Thanks, Kimberly!

Today's Random Photo Location: carwash parking lot

I tried out some mad modeling skills with some great leaning against the wall in various positions (since the Lane Bryant photographer kept telling me how it can make a great relaxed photo) but all those pics looked idiotic. I am def not a model. So you get my basic pose. At least you can see all the clothing!

What I Wore At the Car Wash, Yeah:

2010-06-08 combo

  • black slacks (Lane Bryant)
  • white T (Target)
  • grey jacket (Lane Bryant via Goodwill)
  • sandals (compliments of Lane Bryant)
  • gold necklace, worn as bracelet (via Macys)
  • gold earrings (via Macys)
  • purse (inherited from my grandmother)
  • necklace (borrowed from Kimberly)
What I Ate That Wasn't As Good As I Remember It Being:

2010-06-08 food

  • breakfast: 1/2 c. nonfat greek yogurt (local dairy), 1/2 c Fiber One, 3 oz blackberries
  • lunch: 2 Hebrew National 97% fat free franks, 2 Whitewheat hotdog buns, Progresso Lite Zesty Vegetable soup, kale chips, yellow squash
  • snack: SoyJoy, orange, string cheese
  • dinner: Hoisin Glazed Chicken with Cabbage Slaw, garlic toast (forgot to make the rice, so we had this instead), 1 glass white wine
  • dessert: mini mincrowave cake * with blueberries, 10 almonds
* I don't use soda when I make this. I find that it makes the cake too gummy. I use unsweetened almond milk for a great cake that tastes like a normal cake, but is still super low in calories.

Total for the Day: 30 points, no exercise

1. You look amazing.
2. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw your purse because I inherited a purse from my great grandma that is a complete dupe! Yours looks a little bigger than mine, but the clasp, the design, the fabric - everything the same. Wow! Wish I still had mine - but the clasp broke and I couldn't have it repaired.

That necklace looks great on you AND Kimberly! I love the whole outfit. The cut of the jacket is so flattering.

Ahh, thanks, lady! I have to say I was digging my outfit that day too. It was a new combo for me, but I liked it!

I like your twist on it as well and your shoes rock!

You look Great Tina. I kept staring at Kimberly all day in her outfit trying to figure out how I was going to steal the jacket and the necklace, lol.

I love your spin on it and now, I have to find a way to steal that purse from you.

Great necklace, I am loving this color for summer-especially with turquoise.

Great necklace! This look is so classic and posh.

I also cannot master the leaning poses. I always feel stupid doing them! Luckily you look great standing on your own two feet. :)

Tina, You cracked me up, that is what I would feel like too! BTW you always look great and I love the way you share your meals and points on your blog. Now if I could also get in that mindframe..

Sara - thanks! When I first inherited this purse, I almost gave it away b/c I never thought I would use it. I don't carry it very frequently, but when I do I really love it. I'm so glad I kept it.

Michelle - thanks!

Kimberly - thanks! I'm pretty sure you have some equally fab shoes in a grey color...

Alissa - LOL. I'm surprised there weren't any blogger smackdown theft/fights at the conference b/c I was eyeballing everyone's things...like your denim dress.

V- thanks!

Cid Style File - LOL. I wish I could say "inspired by" but this was a flatout capycat. :)

Lesa - thanks! You are right. It would be great with turquoise.

Brooke - glad I am not the only one who can't lean in a pose. You wouldn't think it would be so hard.
