Easy Does It

Some days I feel pressure to pick out some fabulous outfit, when really all I want to do it put on a dress, grab some shoes, and walk out the door. I don't want to worry if I look perfect or even if my hair is brushed, for that matter. This was one of those days. I felt like what I put on wasn't special enough, and I stood in my closet for a few minutes trying to come up with something "better" and then I realized - I'm not supposed to be getting dressed to impress my readers, I'm supposed to be cataloguing what I actually wear. It's real life: some days all you care about it looking acceptable for work and being comfortable. This was one of those days.

So let me distract you with something shiny...oh look wedding shoes with rhinestones buckles! (You knew I was going to wear these shoes again, right? They are too pretty to only wear on my wedding day.) It's hard to tell from the photo, but the dress has a little yellow in the patern on the hem.

Why I'm Hiding My Food & Exercise:

I haven't posted food pics today b/c I'm having problems eating. I had some dental work done and something went wrong. I won't hit you with the details, but it's made my eating very random and composed of stuff I don't have to actually chew.

I have begun exercising again! So far it's only on the weekends, which is why you're not seeing pics of it. But trust me, I've started doing at least a little exercise again. I'm uploading weekend exercise pics to this FB album, if you want to keep tabs on me.

Love the dress (it's really pretty) and I also love that you found a way to wear your wedding shoes again. I haven't worn mine since my wedding day over 5 years ago!

The dress is really pretty on you and I love the earrings. Back when I got married, there was no way to wear wedding shoes again...white silk shoes somehow don't look like daywear.

I have those type of days all the time. But thank you for reminding me that I have to dress for myself and not the readers (ok, maybe alittle still for the readers).

I love this dress on you, especially with the pop of yellow in your shoes.

This look is summery and flattering and YEAH, yellow! If this isn't something special, I don't know what is! :)

Love the shoes, and I'm so glad to hear that you also have uninspired days. You still look pretty! Hope your dental stuff is better soon.

Such a pretty dress!

I had my white wedding pumps dyed black so I can wear them again but your flats are cuter!

D - I knew when I bought them for the wedding that I wanted to be sure to buy shoes that I would wear again.

Donna - I hear you about the white silk shoes not being very daytime appropriate. But maybe dyeing them would make them work?

Sabrina - I think we all feel this way every once in awhile. It's probably good for all of us.

DanaElayne - thanks! I love yellow in the spring.

Chastity - I really wish we had gotten to meet each other. I've added you to my Reader!

The Other Tina - thank you. 3 weeks later and I am still in pain, but I've got another dentist's appt this week.

Brooke - I def had uninspired days. I also have days where I can think of great outfits, but have no interest in wearing them. Those days are the worst!

Zues's Mom - brilliant!

Kimberly - thanks!
