Weekend of Biking!

I decided to do a weekend post b/c Rand pointed out that I have only been exercising on the weekends, so I'm not "getting credit for it on my blog." LOL. Good point. I have been working out, just not on a daily basis. Recently, Rand bought a bike and as a result, I've taken up cycling again. Whoo hooo! I had forgotten how much I love to ride my bicycle.

What I Wore That Made My Legs Feel Stumpy:

  • madras skirt (Target)
  • blue tank (Michael Kors via Ross)
  • white cardi (via Ross)
  • black sneaks (Converse via Target)

What I Did With Rand in Spandex:

2010-06-27 fitness

  • Saturday: neighborhood ride = 7 miles
  • Sunday: trail ride = 15 miles

Go you on the biking! I hate biking; I can never figure out the dumb gears.

I actually think your "stumpy" look makes you look especially long and lean, so I don't know you think you are seeing!

I think you look super cute!

And you should be very proud of yourself for exercising regularly - every weekend is still regularly!

It's great that you've found something you both enjoy doing together. It's an exercise date! Fun! :)

I so want to ride bikes again but it is just toooooo hot in Houston to even think about it!

And I wouldn't have lasted as long as you did! Around mile 5, I would have just said "go save yourselves and leave me!"

Great job, T! I did 10 miles once but annoyed my riding partner because I kept asking "How much farther??" so he never asked me to go again, lol! *my plan worked!* We have to do a hula hoop workout soon!

Kristen - the gearing just takes practice, then you don't even have to think about it. Your fingers are just smart enought to do what you want to do.

Melissa - thanks for reminding me of that. I was feeling pretty bad about my lack of exercise, but I guess some of it was b/c it wasn't getting documented so I wasn't giving myself credit for it.

Reiko - I used to not be able to bike very ling distances, but once I got a real road bike, it was easy to go 20-50 miles.

sewingstacy - I feel lucky that my hubby decided he likes biking. When he and I started dating I basically gave it up to spend more time with him. I am so glad to be back at it.

Brooke/Coco - yay!

Juanette - HAHAHAHAHA
