Tax Day!

I had to wear pants today since I was going to be spending several hours in the dentist's chair. One of my old fillings wasn't done properly the first time around which meant I had a new cavity under it. Ugh. My face was numb and useless for hours. Result? Weird smile and a craving for mashed potatoes since they don't require chewing. ha!

What I Wore While the Dentist Had 6 Tools in My Mouth:

  • maroon tweed pants (Lane Bryant)
  • maroon satin tank (old Navy)
  • camel cardigan (Kathie Lee, thrifted)
  • brown leather belt (CK jeans via Ross)
  • stone earrings & necklace (gifted)
  • leopard pony hair punps (Charles by Charles David via scary shoe warehouse in downtown Dallas)
  • pink/camel/brown/white fabric flower pin (Target)
What I Ate While I Still Had th Ability to Chew:

Breakfast for the Week:

  • 2/3 cup cooked barley
  • 2/3 small gala apple
  • 3 dates, chopped
  • ground cloves, cinnamon & splenda, and 1 T half & half

Lunch for the Week:
  • seeduction bread
  • mixture of 1 T Better'n Peanut Butter and 1/2 T regular peanut butter (in an attempt to cut calories and keep taste)
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 small grapefruit

  • bangers & mash (I decided I needed mashed potatoes since I couldn't chew, and ended up with sausage too b/c I LOVE IT!)
  • 3 Wild Blue lagers
  • 3 1/2 Krispy Kreme donuts (uh...we've been talking about them for a week and finally gave in)

This is my weekday splurge meal, so I have a weekend splurge meal too. I just have to keep the rest of it in control.

Your outfit is awesome! And I second the loving those shoes comment! Your post reminded me that my cheat meal for this week is coming up soon.

Your doing great!

It seems so unfair to have the same tooth get drilled all over again--I hate when that happens. And I agree, how could you not go with mashed potatoes post-dental work?

Love the outfit and the food photos!

You look so cute even if you're fash is all numb!

I almost bought that pin from Target this week for my outfit you're going to see on Friday, but it looks so much cuter with your outfit!

Sher & Lmac - I hear you about those shoes. I adore them! In fact when I bought them I was shopping with a friend and we BOTH got them b/c they were too cool to pass up. I should show you the whole shoe some time - it's black leather in the back. Very classy.

Crabby - I agree about the drilling. I was really annoyed, esp since I had the original filling done by a very well respected (and expensive dentist) back when I had insurance and now I'm paying for it all again when I don't have insurance. ARGH!

Stacy - want to borrow it? I can totally mail it to you for a month or two if you promise to actually wear. Although I just bought it so let me wear it a couple more times first. But if you are interested, we can do a temp swap or something.

When I was on Weight Watchers (I lost 50 pound) I used to do Free For All Fridays, and I saved all my flex points for Saturday and Sunday. I found I could be really rigid for M-Th if I knew FFAF was coming, and it was easier to ease back out of FFAF with all my flex points available for Saturday and Sunday. So yeah, I am a big beleiver in the spulrge meal!

Love this outfit - the color combo, the textures, all of it!

As a frequent visitor at my dentist office, I feel your pain. So sorry about the filling :(

Thank you everyone! Y'all are too sweet!

WWWYG - Thanks for the info. My sister follows WW and I've considered it to. You've really given me something to think about, esp since I think the activity points might motivate me to workout more. You look great by the way. Congrats on the loss!

Shannon - my submission is on it's way!

eednic - I adore shoes. I currently have a shoe shrine in my closet. I'm currently capped at 90 pairs.
