What I Wore While Hiring a Locksmith:
- black dress (Gap)
- pink skirt (via Goodwill)
- black patterned tights (Target)
- black suede wedges (Rampage, if memory serves)
- pale pink cardi with black beading (via JC Penny - this thing was on $4 on mega sale)
- black belt (came with some clothing item)
- black ribbon/pearl necklace (Target)
- black earings (?? via Ross??)
Yes, it's the same black dress again. There seem to be multiple people wearing black dresses over and over. Kimberly has a go-to dress she often wears on Mondays. And Danielle wears the same black dress every Monday. Hey! I wore this on Monday. Maybe I need to always wear it on Mondays so I can be cool like those ladies?!?!? Today I decided to follow Audi's lead and elongate the look with a skirt thrown under it. It's a little fussy for the office, but I really love the look.
What I Ate Out of the Freezer:I'm eating whatever is left in the house so we don't have to move it, so expect to see some weird things on my dinner plate. One thing that isn't a leftover is this candied ginger that I had for a snack. I picked it up at Trader Joes when I was in NY. (Okay, why isn't there a Trader Joe's in Dallas?? Seriously, we are a HUGE city. Hey! Trader Joe's Corporate! I'm talking to you. Put a store in DFW already!!! Sheesh!) Anyway, I have to rave about this stuff. It's not crystalizes so it's not as sugary. In fact, it's really spicy. I love it. It's much better than the chocolate covered edamame that I also bought.
- breakfast: peanut butter Clif bar
- lunch: 1/2 california club, cup of potato soup, cup of fruit (Jason's Deli)
- snack: candied ginger (Trader Joes)
- dinner: pasta w/ meat sauce and a serious lack of veggies
Exercise:
Does lugging boxes from house to house count? My arms are sore, so it should!

Love that necklace!
I Love this whole look! You look so romantic.
love love love Trader Joe's! No TJ here b/c of Whole Foods. Ah, how I miss two buck chuck! Did you see the huge Whole Foods near NYU?
I really like the look of the pink skirt under the LBD. It looks so cute!
I really like everything about this outfit! Feminine without being too girly or sweet.
I feel like I have to say that we get the exact same food at Jason's Deli! I get that every time I go.
I've never even heard of Trader Joe's, but I want one if I can get that ginger - I am not a fan of crystalized ginger, but I love it otherwise (I drink lemon ginger tea all the time).
Lugging boxes totally counts! And I bet it was easier after doing all those pushups! You go, girl!
You look great, by the way - your waist looks teeny! I love the layered skirts!
Love the outfits!!! I'm doing a blog about thrift store finds and living frugal and thrifting for a year.
Tara - thanks!
Danielle - thanks! I felt very edwardian and romantic.
LaShaune - Well I like WF too, but it's too damn pricey. Trader Joes it much more reasonable.
K - thanks!
Kelly - thanks. I'm glad you don't think it's too girly. That was one of my concerns.
Anon - well, clearly it's the best thing on the menu, esp now that it's winter and it's too cold for the salad bar.
Sheila - Trader Joe's is an organic type grocery store. It's usually pretty small, but they are known for great organics, produce, etc but not too expensive. I bought two pounds of fair trade offee for $11. That's about 1/2 what I would pay at Whole Foods (don't know if you've heard of them).
thriftymomma - I love thrifting, so I'm excited to check out your blog. Heading over there now.
Amen to bringing Trader Joe's to the Big D!!
I love Your awesome outfit!
Jessica - seriously. WHo do we have to petition to make that happen?
Asiunia - thanks!
