After work Rand and I headed off to Home Depot to pick up floor tile for the new kitchen. Man, that stuff weighs a TON. I could only carry one measly box of 11 tiles at a time. Oh, did I mention that I carried them all in during a major thunderstorm? The tornado sirens were going off and I was getting drenched as I walked back and forth from the car to the house with them. Ah...the joys of home ownership. :)
What I Wore While Buying Floor Tile in a Tornado:
- black skirt (Lane Bryant)
- purple ruffle shirt (Ross)
- black heels (Nicole Miller)*
- grey vest (Lane Bryant)
- wooden bangle (Lane Bryant)
- earrings (Dana Buchman via Kohls)
* I just realized that I stuck a pic of my brown Manolos in the combo pic on accident. Oops!
What I Ate That Sounded Fancier Than It Was:
We came back from visiting my parents this weekend with a cooler full of food. And by visit I mean staying some place that wasn't a construction zone and actually had running water, etc. And my cooler full of food I mean that we cleaned out their fridge to "help" them since they were going out of town. One of the things we brought back was smoked pheasant breast that I turned into "chicken" salad. Delish! Everyone at work thought I was so fancy, but basically it really was just a chicken salad sandwich. I also came back with a bunch of pears and apples that we picked off a neighbor's tree and some yummy (and healthy) pear bread that I made.
- breakfast: pear bread (2 points), coffe with cream (1 point)
- lunch: smoked chicken and pheasant salad sandwich (5 points?), carrots (0 points), apple (1 point)
- snack: pear muffin (1 point), pear (1 point), Cliff Z bar (2 points)
